Composition

Monilac® Multi capsules contain a combination of five different lactic acid bacteria strains that have been studied to be compatible and to support each other’s activity (Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis BS01, Lactobacillus plantarum LP01, Lactobacillus plantarum LP02, Lactobacillus rhamnosus LR04 and Lactobacillus rhamnosus LR05), as well as L-glutamine and biotin. In addition, the capsules contain a small amount of water-soluble Sunfiber® fibre, a FODMAP-friendly fibre derived from guar bean.

Use

Monilac® Multi capsules are suitable for continuous use. They can also be used as a course as needed. The capsule can be swallowed whole or, if preferred, opened and mixed into a cool drink or food. A pack of 100 capsules provides plenty of daily servings, also when travelling. The dosage can be adjusted by taking one or two capsules per day. Two capsules contain 15 billion live lactic acid bacteria.

Who it’s for

Monilac® Multi capsules have been designed to suit as many people as possible. That is why they are vegan and contain no allergens such as gluten, cereals, milk or milk components, yeast, egg, soy or nuts. They also contain no sugar or sweeteners, and no preservatives or colourings. We manufacture this product, like all other products in the Monilac® range, in our own production facility in Raisio, Finland.

Why Monilac®?

We developed the Monilac® product family because we wanted to make available lactic acid bacteria products that contain specific, researched lactic acid bacteria strains. Strains with their own targeted function, which have been studied to be compatible and to work together. We also wanted our products to state both these strains and their amounts clearly.

Bacterial strains

Lactic acid bacteria are divided into genera, such as bifidobacteria and lactobacilli, which in turn are divided into species, such as lactis or rhamnosus. The strain defines the origin of the bacterium in question and is indicated by the letter-number combination following the name, such as Lactobacillus rhamnosus LR04. Even if the bacterial species is the same, e.g. Lactobacillus rhamnosus, but the strains come from different sources, they may have a completely different mechanism of action. In the Monilac® range, all lactic acid bacteria are carefully selected strains of human origin, and the bacterial amounts have been precisely defined to be optimal.
