About the product

The Safran capsules from the Luonnosta product range contain Affron® saffron extract, whose positive effects are already trusted by more than 5 million satisfied users around the world**. The extract has 11 published clinical studies behind it, and it is made from the stigmas of saffron crocus (Crocus sativus L.) flowers grown in Spain. Affron® extract has a standardised content of 3.5% Lepticrosalides®, a group of bioactive compounds that work in synergy with one another and on which the extract’s efficacy is based. One capsule contains 30 mg of Affron® extract, so just one capsule a day is enough.

Origin of the raw material

The Affron® saffron extract used in Natura Media’s Safran capsules is obtained from DNA-certified saffron crocus flowers (Crocus sativus L.) grown in Spain. The plants are harvested and the stigmas separated by hand. The raw material then travels to a nearby production facility, where it is processed into the finished Affron® extract. Spanish saffron is generally considered the finest in the world, as it grows in optimal conditions.

Extract manufacturing process

Affron® extract is produced using the patented AFF®ON-Cool Tech process, which uses a low temperature. This ensures standardised concentrations of the active biomolecules, the best possible preservation and their stabilisation. No other saffron extract has the same molecular profile, so Affron® extract has its own unique “fingerprint”. Thanks to the patented technology, the process consumes very little energy, requires less processing and uses no chemicals of any kind.

Made in Finland

In Natura Media’s Safran capsules, 100% Finnish hemp seed protein ensures an even content of saffron extract in every capsule. The capsules are made in our own production facility in Raisio. The product is manufactured in Finland, in Natura Media’s own production.
