Product Description

Saaren Taika Bladderwrack Salt Soap is developed for the daily cleansing of dry, itchy, reddened and blemish-prone body skin and to support your skin’s protective barrier, without the drying, tight feeling typical of ordinary salt soaps.

Sea Salt and Bladderwrack

Most salt soaps rely on sea salt alone, which cleanses and moisturises effectively but does not, on its own, support your skin’s protective barrier. In this soap, sea salt is paired with barrier-supporting bladderwrack powder, from the same Bothnian Sea bladderwrack we use to develop our own Fucus DuoActive® and Fucus Fusion® active ingredients.

Bladderwrack Soap

When we develop the most effective active ingredients in our range from bladderwrack for serums and creams, valuable, mineral-rich bladderwrack powder is left over. Rather than letting this usable raw material go to waste, we gave it a new purpose: this is how the Bladderwrack Face Soap and Bladderwrack Salt Soap were born, two eco-friendly innovations that pamper your skin and respect nature.

In-House Product Development

At the heart of the Saaren Taika Bladderwrack range are the Fucus DuoActive® and Fucus Fusion® active ingredients, created through our own product development. They were developed to harness the diverse compounds of Bothnian Sea bladderwrack in skincare in a precise and scientifically grounded way. This zero-waste approach and careful use of raw materials make our soap unique.

Cold-Pressed Plant Oils

The cleanse is completed by high-quality cold-pressed plant oils: organic extra virgin olive oil removes dirt without stripping your skin’s natural oils, organic shea butter deeply moisturises and leaves your skin feeling soft and hydrated without clogging pores, and organic coconut oil gives the soap a rich, effectively cleansing lather.

For the Body

This salt soap is designed especially for the body, for when you want effective yet gentle cleansing. Its effectiveness is based on two natural raw materials: sea salt and bladderwrack powder.

Handmade in Perniö

Saaren Taika Bladderwrack Salt Soap is handmade in small batches in Perniö, Finland, using our own recipe developed especially for dry, itchy and blemish-prone body skin. Saaren Taika develops and manufactures its products in its own cosmetics factory in Perniö, where in-house product development and high-quality, nutrient-rich raw materials ensure the product is both gentle and effective for your skin.

Harvesting Bladderwrack

In our Bladderwrack products, we use only storm-detached bladderwrack, which we hand-harvest ourselves from a small sea area of approx. 10 square metres in the Bothnian Sea (Pyhämaa – Vakka-Suomi, Uusikaupunki), where it grows naturally in abundance and where it breaks loose after storms. The Bothnian Sea has the cleanest waters in Finland. We collect only part of the fresh bladderwrack detached by storms. Most of it remains in the sea and on the shores to support nature’s cycle and biodiversity. We never collect from the banks that pile up on the shore, as they have their own important role in the ecosystem.
