Who it’s for
Monilac® Hellä has been developed especially for you who have a sensitive stomach and gut. The capsules contain a combination of two lactic acid bacteria strains (Bifidobacterium breve BR03 and Lactobacillus plantarum LP01) that are compatible with each other. One capsule contains 10 billion live lactic acid bacteria.
Psyllium fibre
Monilac® Hellä also contains soluble psyllium fibre (200 mg/capsule), which completes the product’s composition. The capsule shell can also be opened and the contents mixed into cool food or drink.
Suits many
Monilac® Hellä capsules are designed to suit as many people as possible. That is why they are vegan and contain no typical allergens such as gluten, grains, milk or its components, yeast, egg, soy or nuts. They also contain no sugar or sweeteners, and no preservatives or colourings. We make this product, like all other products in the Monilac® range, in our own production facility in Raisio, Finland.
Especially gentle
The lactic acid bacteria strains in Monilac® Hellä are compatible with each other, which is crucially important in a lactic acid bacteria product. In addition, their concentrations have been precisely defined – the dosage is effective, but not so strong that it might irritate a sensitive stomach. In the capsules, the lactic acid bacteria combination is blended with psyllium fibre. This water-soluble fibre, obtained from the seeds of the plantain plant, is extremely gentle on the stomach and is also suitable for those following a FODMAP diet. Just 1 Monilac® Hellä capsule a day is enough! So the package contains an effective daily dose for about two months.
Why Monilac?
We developed the Monilac® product family because we wanted to make available lactic acid bacteria products that contain specific, researched lactic acid bacteria strains. Ones that have their own targeted function and whose strains have been shown to be compatible and to work together. We also wanted our products to state both these strains and their concentrations clearly.
Strains and species
Lactic acid bacteria are divided into genera, such as bifidobacteria and lactobacilli, which in turn are divided into species, such as lactis or rhamnosus. The strain defines the origin of the bacterium in question and is indicated by the letter-number combination after the name, such as Lactobacillus rhamnosus LR04. Even if the bacterial species is the same, e.g. Lactobacillus rhamnosus, but the strains come from different sources, these may have a completely different mechanism of action. In the Monilac® range, all lactic acid bacteria are carefully selected strains of human origin, and the bacterial concentrations have been precisely defined as optimal.
