What is ubiquinone
Ubiquinone, or coenzyme Q10, is a fat-soluble, vitamin-like substance found naturally in every cell of the body, mainly in the cells’ energy plants, the mitochondria. It plays an important role in cellular energy metabolism, in the formation of ATP.
Occurrence in the body
Ubiquinone is most abundant in the organs with the greatest energy needs: the heart, kidneys, liver and muscles.
